01What is happening
For many girls, a period is more than biology. It can interrupt education, dignity and opportunity — especially where products are unaffordable, unavailable, or come with a cost no girl should ever have to pay.

02Why it matters
She deserves both.
03The turn
But the story doesn't end there.
Nazarene for She
She Empowered, Community Inspired.
Nazarene for She (NS) is a community-based organisation in Congo, Kawangware, Nairobi County. It empowers young girls through sanitary pads, vocational skills, and economic opportunity.
04What we are doing
05Dignity kits
Continued distribution of dignity kits — sanitary pads, underwear and hygiene items — helps girls manage menstruation safely, confidently and with dignity.
This is not a shop. It is how a barrier is removed.

Pads
Monthly protection
Underwear
The basics of comfort
Soap
Hygiene she can keep
Notebook
School, still hers

06Faith & community
Nazarene for She is rooted in a community that gathers not only to provide practical support, but also to share the Word and Love of Jesus Christ.
07What comes next
We do not stop at distribution. The longer work is knowledge, mentorship, skill, enterprise and a community that can increasingly sustain itself.
08Vocational training
Through practical vocational training in tailoring and dressmaking, girls and young women with limited educational or economic opportunities can acquire marketable skills for employment or entrepreneurship.

09Enterprise
01
Practical capability she can take into a workshop, a stall, or a small room at home.
02
The knowledge to price, make and sell — so a garment can become a living.
03
Someone who has walked a path, walking a stretch of hers.
04
Income she can name. Choices she does not have to trade for survival.
10What transformation looks like
Not every girl walks this path in the same order, or at the same pace. Choose a step.
14What future are we building
We are developing a model that can make the initiative increasingly self-sustainable. That is the vision — not a claim that the work is already fully self-sustaining.
Dignity kits, education and community care meet urgent need.
Vocational training and mentorship grow what she can do.
Making and selling becomes a practised capacity.
Work she can name as her own.
A community increasingly able to sustain its own future.
She empowered. Community inspired.
It is about a future she can claim as her own.
Nazarene for She helps girls and young women in Kawangware, Nairobi, overcome period poverty, stay in school, gain practical skills, and move toward self-sustaining futures.

12Her story
We will not invent testimonials. Until girls and young women choose to share, these frames remain ready.
13How can I help
Support menstrual health and dignity — and the skills that follow.
Support A Girl →Buy a garment from the workshop. A purchase is income she can name — not only a gift on her behalf.
Share knowledge, experience and guidance with a girl who should not walk alone.
Support the mission spiritually. Faith is part of how this community holds girls.
Churches, NGOs, companies and institutions can help build pathways, not just programmes.
Training materials, sanitary products, equipment and other resources — given with dignity.
Help expand vocational and entrepreneurship opportunities beyond a single kit.
